How to make your marriage proposal special...
Who am I to talk about creating a proposal?
I am not a marriage proposal planner (there are actually some out there), but what I do know is how to get your creativity flowing, so that you can come up a marriage proposal that is unique and special for the person you would like to marry.

Make sure that the two of you are on the same page. Talk with each other about you see your futures together? What are their hopes and dreams for the future? What are their hopes and dreams for your lives together?
Think about what they love to do.
The way to create a romantic and beautiful marriage proposal, is to think about what are things that your the person you are proposing to loves to do. Do they love the ocean, going out to eat at fancy restaurants or do they collect antique teddy bears,? Whatever it is that they love to do, se if you can include that in what you do leading up to the proposal.
Your proposal can be in a nearby location or you can travel to a destination that is somewhere that they would love to be. But what is most important is that you are taking the time to tell them how much you love them in a very special way.
Brainstorm about what would make them feel special.
Take out a pen and paper, computer or note taking app and write what would make them feel special. Don’t judge your ideas but instead write down anything that comes to mind. Include in your brainstorming things that they love to do. What’s most important at this stage is just to write it down and keep writing, if your not sure write to write, then write, “not sure what to write” but keep writing for as long as you like.
Write down what you love about them.
Again think about them and how deeply you love them, and write whatever comes to mind. You can write things you admire about them, things you love about them. Maybe a silly moment the two of you shared in the past. And again keep writing for as long as you like, then put all of your notes to the side and let your ideas percolate. Take your time. Allow you ideas to form.
Or you can also do this exercise as much as you like until you start to get a clearer picture of what you would like your proposal to look like and what you would like to say to them “when you get down on one knee”.
A marriage proposal is a promise for the future.
In the proposal you can show them a taste of what your future together will look like. Show them how you will always love and cherish them. Tell them what you love and adore about them.
Your proposal is a story that they will be telling their friends and loved ones for years to come. But don’t let that put pressure on you. Because if you planned everything in advance and you are present and in the moment with them; you will be your best self and the two of you can enjoy this moment together.
Believe in yourself, you have everything it takes to create a beautiful and romantic proposal, so start thinking about what you would like to do.
